Outlook will not start 2016.

I understand the frustration when applications don't work correctly. I also see that the El Capitan v10.11.1 Update Improves compatibility with Microsoft Office 2016. Yet Word is not saving and Outlook won't run.


You asked if that update is included in the 10.11.3 update.

The Combo Update includes previous 10.11.x updates.

Users may see issues with fonts when using version 16.9 of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote and Microsoft PowerPoint on macOS.

However, most people bought perpetual licenses and have a product key that came with the product. In this case, you can simply install Office 2011 onto your new Mac and re-use the product key. Once you have your product key, see Activate Office for Mac 2011. When you install or reinstall Microsoft Office, you are prompted to enter the product key. The product key is used during installation to 'unlock' the software.
